Make my day a bit better

I think the fact it was unexpectedly so short was the funniest part. I am glad you uploaded it besides having low quality. This cheered me up after a rough day. Also how unresolved and stupidly abrupt it was made it more humorous

Abundant

This reminds me of alot of 80's art, with Kieth Herring. The color and creatures, not to mention the tone itself. I'd love to even see you do even a story based on one of these creatures. Highly original

TheBoogley responds:

thanks, I'd love to create a story around them too... one day :)

Nice dramatic shots, good message

For the short period it took you to make, I think that gave some parts a rushed intensity to them. No parts felt stupid or unnecessary either. The message behind this is even more important. It was well executed and believable.

My favorite part was how they used masks to hide other masks, or to fit social appropriateness, and even label eachother as human beings.

Without going to deep here I'd say the delivery of the message was well done.

Pahgawk responds:

Personally, I feel that everyone has a range of masks we wear at times, and I thought the best way to portray that was to literally give people masks on top of more masks :)
Thanks!

Beauty of Punk rock meets Christmas

I'm already having that nostolgic feeling like I will remember this flash as one of my favorites this holiday season. I can definitely relate to Rudolph the mohawk reindeer. The animation was smooth, along with rapid fire comedy, and a pinch of sickmindedness. "So he shoved the guitar up santa's ass.." Is that James Joyce? Beautiful flash

ThePrimatePunk responds:

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

I knew this would be good...

When I couldn't stop cracking up at the loading page music and it's context in general. I would have liked to see this go on for a bit longer, the punchline at the end felt a bit sudden for an ending, but in all I enjoyed this and I hope you continue making shorts. :) Your animation mixed with those tiny sounds was great to haha

vlaktemaat responds:

Thanks I will!

Pretty darn cute

I liked the simplistic PBS style you were going for, and I think is really fitting. You mentioned you'd like some feedback, and come to think of it the only thing I'd like to see would be instead of photos for "the engine, the cargo hold, ect.." actually have them be drawn. none the less though they convey the idea though. I was surprised to see a gun-man in one of the pictures too haha. Maybe having the characters intergrated with the live action pictures as well like you did with the first ones. Otherwise it was something I would expect to see on PBS which is what you are going for. :)

RicePirate responds:

Yeah ... I think I'm probably gonna take the gunman out, it's been mentioned by a number of people. And yeah, i think the idea of integrating them into the photos (rather than just photos or just drawings) will be the way.

I remember watching these in middle school

My friend wouldn't shut up with quotes from every single episode, so I sat down at watched them. Then they became a part of my childhood. I am 20 now, and they are still stuck in my head/ soul. Thankyou for making these man

Congrats on the upload!

I loved the dark humor coupled with the bitter reality when Olimar comes on the stage haha It doesn't get old watching it, even a half a year later. Glad you decided to release it on NG, I actually think it's the best animation of Pikmin on this site to date! Looking forward to more of your series works :)

You accomplished a great deal here.

I have to commend you for all the hard work that was put into this. You were very open-minded to suggestions, and included an array of goodies in this episode I'm sure people will very much enjoy. All together, it's your best episode yet, and I think that can be agreed unanimously. I'll always be around to do any voices you might need, looking forward to our other future collaborations together. ;)

Not the most deeply metaphorical short

But something worth watching atleast. You seem to be very good with frame by frame, as well as potential with flash, it's hard to believe this is your first time making anything. Its a shame about the time constraints, but now I think you should work on making a real story with your on par animation strengths.

Zhon responds:

I've done a few tests/practice animations but never anything like this. Thank you for your comments and compliments! It means a lot to me :)

My kind of soldier you can ride on my shoulders when you've won.
